PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CREATE A THREAD LIKE "What should I do about ______ goal?"
Here's our official position on weird but harmless goals on 43 Things, such as "Get free Gaia gold", "Become a mermaid", "Get 100 followers on tumbler", etc.
Goals like these are sort of a chicken and egg thing. If you search for "free gaia gold" 43Things shows up. So a bunch of folks with no intent to spam 43Things sign up, thinking we are going to help them get gaia gold, or more followers, etc. They aren't really goals we are keen on, but because of how the site works, we end up aggregating these folks.
The folks who have more goals than just the Gaia, tumbler, etc. goal sare people who found the site through that goal, managed not to get deleted, and added some legitimate goals. For 43 Things, this is great!
Anyway, these misguided goals are mostly benign. We'd care about people posting these entries on other goals (that would be spam), but we don't think the existence of these goals are something we'd delete. We still think it is fine for reporters to do what they will, but when we see them in Neighborhood Watch, we generally defend them.
Questions like these are exactly why we decided to put up this board. Thanks for jumping in and discussing it!

Excuse me? Misguided goals? I know that "grow wings" and "learn to shapeshift" would be labeled as "weird" goals, but I'm sorry, we are not "misguided". If only you would look into our goals a little more, you would see that what we do is real, and then I wouldn't be as offended.

Being that I just had a problem with this u need to just ban weird goal or ban people who don't like weird goals... Not really just saying
Now I know I was posting on these so called weird goals, but I was tring to direct their energy to more substantial goal without coming out and just make them quit the site because there only goal wasnt important never the less I got myself stuck Arguing with lord bear.... Never the less the end was
I don't like myself him 43 things the weird goals or the people trying them
And I don't every feel like I can complete my own goals because off the psychological effect I have now, which is I associate my whole life and my goals to this fight and now am kinda depressed
My own fault of course... And anything I said about lord that was a personal attack I do retract as I said in the post before he attacked back... Those things after that first post I never said I retract but I do
Never the less use me as a case take a look at what I said nevertheless my whole existence is now thrown off which wouldn't have happend if I stayed off ths website working with goals like I have been for the last 7 years... Now I'm stuck because of 1 day and my own stupidity , let me give 43 it's props tho... I have accomplished more in 15 days the the last year pretty simple thank you 43 things
So what's all this truely mean nothing I just wanted to say something... And I won't be posting here anymore and I might give up on my goals in real life but keep up the good work

There is a growing problem over on "grow wings" - a persona of a "hunter has been created and is issuing pretty graphic "fantasy" threats towards other users, claiming these people are going to be killed. Most people are laughing at the threats, but they're starting to get very specific. This user is up to 2 out of 10 people they say are going to die. www.43things.com/entries/view/5959516
