If I search for a place with an "è", "é", "ê" or similar "special characters" in its name, it doesn't show up in the search. (Like for instance, searching for Pécs doesn't show any results, while it is a place: www.43places.com/places/view/103330/pecs-baranya-hungary)
Which caused duplicates to be created, which are then not simple to merge as the original place again doesn't show up when searching for a duplicate...
The only way around this I've found so far is to create an AKA and then search for that one, but it doesn't really help with preventing duplicates to be created.
Any fix for this?
Edit I guess it ties into the other request on this board of allowing place ids in searches.
